I recently bought the 1261 Eb Miraphone (the model available at Brasswind). Yeah, it's pretty much a Besson copy, it has the same physical set up, the same intonation problems, etc., but it has a larger bore (.730 instead of .689). The Miraphone I have takes a lot of air, it's respone is not as quick as the Besson 981 but I felt the Miraphone had more presence. My horn also has a wonderful high range. If you like the Besson horns I suggest you try it.
