Although your post has more or less local interest, I haven't seen the repertoire list, and I'm not sure of the motivation behind the comment (to let everyone know that YOU are in that orchestra?), I (per usual) have a comment in the form of a rhetorical question:
Must a season of orchestral repertoire consist of pieces chosen from the same 60 or so pieces that youth/festival/training orchestra repertoire is usually chosen from, or can one occasionally delight in choices made beyond the predictable without referring to them as "weird"?
