I tried one of the CC Weril's at David Fedderly's Baltimore Brass a couple weeks ago. Impressive little tuba! I think they would be great for quintet and some band situations. A bit small for orchestra though. Response and intonation was great in all registers. My only dislike was the small finger buttons on the piston valves. That can be easily solved with some larger ones and is a small consolation for the kind of performance this horn puts out for the price. Give a try for yourself. Besides Baltimore Brass, I've seen them advertised in the BrassWind Catolog and Tuba Exchange. Good luck!
