The truth is that any EEb custom-outfitted with seven valves (basically the same as a five valve, except that in addition to the "long #1", there would ALSO be a "long #2, and a "long #3) could be called one.

I wouldn't think that this could be done easily to anything other than a rotary instrument, and I couldn't imagine this set-up being of any benefit whatsoever.

Just like a "double" french horn, one cannot construct a "double" instrument without one of the two "sides" having an inordinately-long section of cylindrical tubing. The fact that this set-up ALMOST works on french horns is why they are made that way, but I believe that you would find the response of the BBb "side" of a tuba constructed in this manner to be very disappointing.
