The newest version is now labelled "Personal Studio" instead of "Silent Brass." It was on display at the NAMM Show. Even with the improvements that Yamaha claims to have made, it still is, despite the new nomenclature, merely a PRACTICE mute. The pickups are still too close to the bell to deliver anything resembling the full-bodied tone of the tuba to your headphones.
