I may be able to help with your tounguing problem. Last year my teacher pointed out that I was tounguing between my teeth. Instead of making an articulation, I was actually stoping the air. This is a huge NO, NO if you are going for nate accuracy. I had to "unlearn" this by tounguing on the roof of my mouth, using a soft, legato DOO articulation. It has gotten much better and my instructor can really tell the difference. Just remember that touguing doesn't have to be an "in your face" type of thing; it can be very subtle and connected. Your just using your toungue to give each note a little life. Hope this helps, Steve
