Bravo to Sean. So many times we are fixated on the visual that we forget what we sound like. Personally, my chops are a nightmare to look at, but I sound good(please, no "ego" comments, just an illustration) keep the air moving and make sure to project a song. As one last bit of advice, don't be bamboozled by what you are hearing close up. Chances are you sound fine from a distance of 5' or more. A perting thought. Use alot of air attacks early in the practice day. many times we try to force the chops to produce a note in the wrong place. With the air attack, you let the chops find the note themselves. After you have gotten a good sound, then slowly work the tounge in always trying to recreate the sound that was good!!!!
