I think all of the mouthpiece suggestions are good. The Perantucci line is fantastic, and I have had success with the PT42 on a 187-5U BBb, PT42 & PT48 on my Miraphone 188. The Perantucci line provides many different configurations that produce widely varied tonal, intonation, and response results.
Recently, I have switched to Doug Elliott mouthpieces, affording me the luxury of playing the same exact rim on different cups and shanks made to fit the taper of different horns and improve response and intonation. I would wholeheartedly reccommend Doug Elliott mouthpieces to anyone. They are a bit more expensive, but absolutely worth it if you're willing to shell out the money. Good luck in your hunting!
