If you can manage it, I would encourage you to try the 2 types of mouthpieces side-by-side. I did this and found the difference astonishing. The improvement in the depth and focus of sound with the heavyweight model was really surprising to me. Conventional wisdom on this design concept is that you might experience a drop in response with the heavyweight but I haven't experienced that with mine. I would encourage anybody to try the mouthpiece and see for yourself. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
