I've been considering sending my 1972 Alexander CC to the factory in Mainz, Germany to be restored to the way it looked 27 years ago. It makes an incredible sound (it's the old Alex that Lee Hipp used to play), and I'm afraid that the sound may be altered when the horn is taken apart and put back together. Am I being a little over paranoid? Is there anywhere in the US that could do as good, if not a better job on it? Thanks.
