I was wondering what exercises people do to warm up when they first pick up their horns each day.
I play in a few groups with school (I'm a grad student), but they only rehearse once a week each. I've found that it takes me anywhere from 30-45 minutes in general to get "really" warmed up at each rehearsal, and I was wondering if there might be some exercises I can do to get that number down to 10 or 15 minutes.
The only reason it is a concern for me is that one of my groups only rehearses for an hour, and if it takes me 45 minutes to get good and warmed up, I am not getting too much out of those rehearsals.
