The springs in two piston valves on one of my tubas buzz on certain pitches. I have tried repositioning the springs, oiling them, and stretching them slightly, but nothing has made a serious difference, except to alter the pitch they buzz on. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and are there any quick and easy home remedies? All the solder joints are good and it is not a major problem, just annoying in the practice room.
