A customer asked me to list this tuba for sale. It is a J. W. Pepper Eb tuba with .565" bore and 12" bell. All slides work and the valves are tight. There are bell, bow, and 1st branch dents but the interior tubing is all in good shape. The mouthpiece plating is worn badly. The bell is inscribed with "Highest Award and Diploma, World's Fair, Columbian Exhibition, Chicago, 1893". The serial number appears to be 9654. She is asking $600 for the tuba but will entertain offers. I will be getting pictures in the next few days and will post the tuba for auction on ebay unless someone shows definite interest here. Contact me by e-mail or at (402) 596-0820 for more information.
