When you are totally properly acoustically coupled to the mouthpiece and horn, and the MP shank is matched to the leadpipe in depth and taper, everything (including you, your lips,mouth, throat, lungs, horn, etc. are operating as a matched acoustic system, and you will notice the resonating vibration.
