I have a Miraphone oval, 5 rty valve horn (circa 1970).
Because the bore increases from the first through the fifth valve, I believe it is truly conical (ala euphonium).
The valve bore change is like many Miraphone tubas. This horn does have a different sound than the Cerveny ovals I have played.
