I was more recommending what I LIKE rather than what I HAVE.

I think the 14K sounds and plays more like a 5/4-6/4 concert tuba, whereas the 38K/20K and other largest (excluding "jumbo") size Conn sousaphones don't offer enough the biggest Conn sousaphones (20K, 38K, etc.) offer the nuisance of the flat 3rd partial (bottom-of-staff F and E natural)
