I have played that type of Alexander Wagner tuba. It doesn't really matter where the valves are placed. However, the full double tuba pictured is not as well in tune as the earlier compensating double Wagnerian tubas made by Alexander. They are just like the 4 valve compensating euphs. Too bad Besson doesn't make a 4 valve full double euph anymore.
