Compare yourself to all the other guys and girls who are your age and then to all the people that might show up to the audition. Do you compare favorably? Are you one of the best players in your age group (college undergrad) and someone who has a pretty good chance at the audition? Will you be able to compete with the best by the time the audition takes place? If you answered no to any of these, keep practicing. You can still go to the audition, but you should be asking yourself whether it's worth the time, money, and effort when you could be focusing your practice on more basic/fundamental stuff that will help you out more in the long run.
