Hi...A question for you mouthpiece makers, physicists, acousticians, etc:
Is it just my impression, or does the shape of the basic Denis Wick mouthpiece accentuate the problems with the sharp Eb, E, and F right above middle C on Besson Sovereign euphoniums? Even with a trigger, these notes still require more lipping than I'm comfortable with.

Dr. Young? Mr. Elliott? Mr. Finn? Others? Comments?

Those of you who play Sovereigns: What mouthpiece works well for you instead of the Wick or Mead?
