The fact that Sterling offers so many choices is variation factor, that is true. My point was that horn to horn inconsistencies occur with every brand, and what works for one person may not work for another.
I did play the heavy red bell and did not like it. The bell on the lightweight one is so soft I can severely deform it with a thumb and forefinger... but man, what a sound!
