A few weeks ago I posted to TubeNet about outfitting my Conn 56J with new valve buttons. Thank you to everyone who posted. In particular, thank you to Lee Stofer for his post about converting the valve stems to accept Yamaha buttons. (That may be the route that I will take.)
I have been thinking....again...does anyone know if Meinl Weston valve buttons (from 2145, 2155, 2165, etc) would fit on a Conn 52 or 56J tuba? Those buttons are very well made and feature a pretty pearl inlay. Also, can anyone tell me how much a new set of valve buttons would cost?
