It is not so complicated. All you have to do is boil the instrument in a solution of TSP(trisodium phosphate). That's found at practically every hardware source for cleaning walls etc. I have a tank with a propane burner to take the lacquer off the King tubas that I use to make CCs. Unfortunately for you it makes it worse if you've heated up the horn to take it apart. That seems to bake the lacquer on even harder. Good luck.
