Music: Rubank (Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced I & II). When you finish these, return to all the other suggestions you are getting here.
Tuba: browse the Shops advertised here. call 3 and discuss. Raise your budget to $2000.
Buy a battered, well used tuba with a recognizable name
Ensemble: as soon as you can comfortably read through the Rubank Elementary, find a community band to play with. Expand from there. When you finish the Advanced II book, start agitating to form your own quintet.
Teacher: you didn't ask - but find one! If you do this first, then you won't need us for answers to the first three questions!
