With few exceptions, the small/independent labels are more dedicated to music tailored to the interests of readers of this BBS.

NAXOS offers generally good to excellent recordings of titles that are not available anywhere else, at budget prices.

CRYSTAL features wind instrument soloists, including a lot of tuba solo albums.

CHANDOS and DOYEN highlight brass band recordings.

CEDILLE features Chicago-area artists (sorry, you asked for personal favorites!).

It almost goes without saying that SUMMIT has many excellent recordings of interest to readers of this BBS, including some very special, unique CD's such as Portrait of an Artist (Arnold Jacobs) and Orchestral Excerpts (Gene Pokorny et al.).

And won't it be fantastic when Harvey Phillips completes the legalities to finally issue the GOLDEN CREST recordings on CD???
