I consider the Barnes and Wilhelmconcertos to be a pretty standard part of the tuba rep. If an artist does a CD of completely standard tuba rep..that EVERYONE plays...then no one will really want to buy the CD to hear something new and different. I suppose its like always on the hunt for new music to play on a recital. No one really wants to give a recital with music that everyone has already heard.
