I got my St Pete in 1997 from Germany (before TE had exclusive rights). I like the horn, it plays well for me, and I plan to keep it. Of all the negative comments regarding them, there's only one really worth mentioning. The valves are poorly made. The rotors are not made with the precision they should have to function properly. I had mine rebuild and they work fine now. Other comments like, "Dents easily" and "Thin plating", have some merit, but in over 6 years, I have only a couple of small dings and the plating is showing wear only in spots one might expect after this long. As I said, I like the horn, but if I were in the market for a new horn today, I'd look at some of the others that have been already mentioned in other's comments.
