GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP IN LOW BRASS at the University of Colorado at Boulder

POSITION: Graduate assistant in euphonium, trombone or tuba pursuing the Master of Music or Doctor of Musical Arts degree beginning fall 2004.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completed bachelor's degree (or completed MM for the DMA program); acceptance into the Graduate School.

DUTIES: Primary responsibilities include assisting with Rafael Mendez Brass Institute and perform in university ensembles as placed. Assisting with studio class in the tuba/euphonium or trombone studios as load permits.

STIPEND: Approximately $6000 for nine months, six hours of tuition waived each semester (current nonresident tuition for six hours is $5544 per semester)

The University of Colorado, College of Music has excellent facilities including an outstanding research library and a new large ensemble rehearsal facility. Approximately 320 undergraduates and 200 graduate students are currently enrolled on the Boulder campus. Many students earn extra income in area orchestras, chamber ensembles and other performance opportunities in the Denver / Boulder area.
