The school that I teach at has recently acquired two besson BBb tubas. The tubas are fantastic and are some of the best small BBb tubas that I've played.
However, the leadpipe requires a European shank mouthpiece. I am having very little luck finding these mouthpieces. My PT mouthpiece barely fits (it's playable, but I suspect intonation will be a major problem).
Where can I get a couple european shank mouthpieces that are close to the size of a Bach 18 or conn Helleberg? My program has rather limited funds so I can't buy a custom made Schilke or anything in that price range.
