The new tuba market is dead. The tuba manufacturers won't say it out loud, but they mutter it amongst themselves.
Further, considering the fact that the old Holton tuba would take a lot of hand work, never was consistent nor particularly well-made, the little Holton HP that they tried to market a few years ago was unsuccessful, and even though the HP tuba was small it was made very sloppy, if I were you I'd look elsewhere.
