Good advice, but I would suggest one slight modification. Rather than asking them to put a spot of solder on each crack, you could ask them to silver solder the cracks. The seller is Taylor music who has a complete repair department and should be able to do a decent, professional, job on the bell for a reasonable price. It doesn't look like it needs any other major work to be playable, so just take delivery of it and see how it works out.
I would have taken a shot at this too, but couldn't justify buying it without selling my King, and I wasn't willing to take the chance. Enjoy it.
