You didn't say what sort of noise you hear, but I suspect it is the sound that the metal parts make as the valve limit pin bashes against the housing which was previously filled with a cork bumper. Many posts explaining this problem exist in the archives. Everyone has an opinion about the proper material from which to make replacements, ranging from wine bottle corks to high durometer O-ring sections. Vacuum cleaner belts seem to be popular. I manufactured a coring device from a brass tube, and cut mine from high density oil resistant industrial foam floor mat material. NWD
