I'm the 4th tuba in our University Varsity (third) Band and play an old top-action 3-valve compensating Besson bell-front. The third chair player - my stand mate, who has really bad breath, plays a front-action Olds 3/4. Since our tuba configurations put our faces close together, sometimes my eyes burn from his breath odor. Bag balm is great to put on the eyelids to relieve irritation. It also offers a "natural high" which helps get through all of those James Swearingen charts...
...and once empty, the little tin is a great cuspidor for "chaw".
