During one of the TC threads I touched the US JHF brand in helicons. Some time ago I found pics of such an instrument. Characteristic by it uniquely-for-the-US-style-of-string-link:

The specimen illustrated has seen more beautiful days of it own, but then it actually is quite old.
Can any you reservoirs of wisdom relate "JHF" to a person with real history?
