I think that if you are going to be a professional you "must" have the equipment, which includes "both" CC and F tubas. If you can't afford to buy both the PT-6 and an F tuba, you might consider the VMI 6/4 for your CC tuba. Tommy Johnson, Joseph Hipp, and Ed Jones all use the VMI. Check out the link below. Tommy only plays and records with the best. However, you might want to travel to a store and try out a few. For the price of shipping one tuba to your house, you can spend around the same amount of money to travel to a music store and try out several. Or you might want to look into buying used tubas until you can buy new. Just something to think about in your decision. Good luck.
