Here’s a great system for recording. Philips CDR880 compact disc recorder. I bought this from sams.com (click auction) for about $135.00 last March. Records onto CD from any source. You’ll need a small mixer for mic input. I’m using an 8 channel Mackie. I used the set-up for the first time last night. WORKS GREAT. . . plus, My pianist and I were able to play the CD in the car on the way home from the session. The recorder is very easy to operate. This is more gear than the minidisc set-up but you have a ready made CD on the spot.
