Since the BSO's new music director won't be in place until fall 2004, who makes the final decisions in their auditions? If I understand correctly, in the case of the BSO, the audition committee members each have one vote in the preliminary auditions, but their role in the finals is advisory only. Just wondering who makes the artistic decisions at the BSO until Levine starts in '04.
