Brook Mays used to sell tubas designated F. Schmidt model 3301 and 3302 that were exactly the same as VMI 3301/2s. I even saw one of them in another store that had been shipped instead of a VMI labeled horn because they had apparently imported too many with the Schmidt name. I understand that Brook Mays has reduced the number of high end tubas that they carry and are no longer going to carry Schmidt 3301/2s, but they will still sell the Schmidt 2103s, which are the same as VMI 2103s. These are smaller, rotary valve tubas.
