I, too, have always really liked this horn, and have been surprised at all the negative reviews I've seen about it. I played one for quite a while a few weeks ago along side 52j and a new 2341, and the Holton was by far a superior horn. I've only played 2 specimens, one in CC and the other in BBb.. I'd give both of them superior ratings, though the BBb specimen I played had a funky leadpipe angle that made it awkward to hold.
What's the going price on those horns?
