this is generally true. any of the rosewoods are problematic. though among other woods, benterfa offers boxwood,
which seems innocuous. personally, i would try any of the fruit woods (lemon, pear, etc.) and olive wood. perhaps
osage-orange too. look at what companys use to make recorders. in any case, i think benterfa will plate the rims.
and, they recommend that beewax be put on the mouthpiece too. marc
