The United States Army Band, aka TUSAB, aka Pershing's Own is the resident Army band for the DC area. It is based out of Fort Meyer, Virginia. It is comprised of several large ensembles that work mostly independent from one another. Sean Chisham is a member of the Ceremonial Brass as the main part of his job (go to the web page to see what else he does...). The US Army Field Band is a totally seperate entity and spends a GREAT DEAL OF TIME on tour (i.e. - "in the field").

This is a fantastic gig if you are single (the field band), but can be rather hard on a young marriage. Married? Wait for an audition for one of the spots in TUSAB, as it is much more "in town" and tours much less often.

Isn't Tim Lohr in the Field Band? Tim, did I spell your name right?
