NB. I've had no reply to the form I filled in from Reunion Blues (dimensions of the tuba). I found it quicker to search for a size that fits at:

I use both top and side loading bags. I prefer the top loader for ease of use (even with a heavy 5/4 CC) but have noticed the tuning slide has been bent slightly out of alignment whilst carrying vertically. Last Friday I burst the zip on my side loader whilst carrying it, and only just managed to catch the tuba before it sustained gravel rash.
