What you say is correct for CC tubas with a flat whole step fifth valve. Tracy was asking about the proper fingering for cc tubas with a double whole step fifth valve. 234 is also a very good choice on most any tuba regardless of the fifth valve. Personal preference I suppose. As for intonation I would much rather just get in the habit of always being in tune.
