I say, march junior corps while you can. You can't do it past 21, so take the opportunity. As someone who's entering his third year in corps (Blue Stars), I think it is severely underestimated as a tool of musical education. It helps to reinforce the basics that are so important to brass playing, especially controlling one's embouchere while still pushing the necessary amount of air. It's also a great life experience. Being part of a unit that learns to function together as one teaches great leadership and communication skills. One of the best reasons to do it, however, is for the great people you'll meet on tour, both inside and outside your corps. It's a great experience that I think many musicians would benefit from. If you want to talk more, e-mail me privately.
