have completely converted to "slot"-style pistons with nylon guides (like other brands).
A couple of other recent minor changes include:
- a style change to the top valve caps. They have a high ridge around their outside perimeters that "receive" the (large) fingerbuttons. Cool, I guess.
- the euphonium is noticably heavier...at least the last ones I received
