If you are feeling patriotic and want some just plain tough tuba stuff, check out Claude T. Smith's stuff. Excellent writing and voicings, not to mention some of his music has some incredibly tough licks in it.
Hindemith's Symphony for Band as well as the arrangements of Symphonic Metamorphasis are quite fun to play as well as expanding your views on some very well written contemporary music.
Ron Nelson's music is very fun to play as well as sounding like "movie music" (not a derogatory comment) with very open and contemporary voicings. The tuba parts are very fun also.
It is hard to nail down one specific piece, but thankfully the new band literature is expanding and newer composers are taking advantage of the range of the tuba as well as the rest of the instruments in the ensemble.
