Rumor has it that he is going to go back to a brass bell, but I have my doubts. He has been playing with the carbon fiber bells for a few years now, and seems to like them due to the lightweight.
I don't know that the bell would really matter that much since he has a custom Yamaha built for him anyway (i.e., not even a customized production model horn...kind of like the York copy that Jim Self has). His latest carbon fiber Yamaha seems like it is a copy of the Canadian Brass CB-50 that he played just prior to the latest Yamaha deal, which in turn is the production version of the custom horn Bob Rusk built for him from old York parts in the late 80s- early 90s.
