Is it an easy job (for a repairman) to convert a tuba with S linkage to Uniball? Does it require reworking the 'cradle' (excuse me if I have the wrong term, I mean the bridge that the rotor arms/rod/ springs are connected to) and capstan or just a substitution of lever arm, etc. Or, in other words, is this a cutting/soldering job or just a matter of unscrewing?
I'm specifically looking at a Meinl Weston 32 with S linkage. How expensive is this to convert?
Thanks,
