Fracking is using explosive or a strong recharge pump to crack bedrock so that water (or oil) may be pumped through the fractures since it is normally impermeable.

On a tuba note (no pun intended), what I call a frack is when playing legato and making a drastic change in the length of tubing by using a 2+3 or higher valve combination sometimes you will experience a disruption of the horn's resonance caused by the fact that your lips aren't vibrating the right frequency for the note being fingered or your horn plays that note way out of tune and your brain tells your lips to buzz the correct note but it's not quite what the horn needs. What you get is a "PHBLERB" sound at the beginning of the note.
