You might write on some possible improvements in the design of the tuba itself.
Or, you might devise some type of experiment on pedagogy to see if you could get the same results that existing methods get, but in much less time. Or, you could compare the tuba methods to those of other instruments to see if the existing tuba methods couod be improved. Or, you could look at the most difficult solo music for the tuba and for other instruments, especially violin, or piano, or trumpet, or others, to see if the tuba's size and lowness of pitch or the social differences of the tuba (the lack of some degree of instruction more frequently available for other instruments) places limitations on the final achievable level of artistic development as could be demonstrated by the more demanding solo literature (if this is true) of other instruments. Good luck. I believe if you made some suggestions about the improvement of the tuba
hardware, or pedagogy, or statement about the differences in tuba education that may lead to less achievement than may be possible (if this is true), it would help the tuba players very much. Bill
