What about Eb C and Bb tubas playing in their low register with lotsa valves being used?

I played a PT15 F along side my 983 Eb not too long ago. Yes there were differences of various aspects, with one being the my Eb had NO register problems, even when using all sorts of valve combinations. The PT15 did have some centering problems from about d (1 ledger below staff) down to the Bb under it. After a bit of consistent air and support the sound started evening out. After a few months i'd be used to it and not be too concerned about that register. I'm still staying with Eb as i have been playing it for the past 19 years.

I played a Kurath F (pistons+rotor) back in '92, played like my 983 and not like a typical F. Go figure!

Anyone, especially manufacturers and a more detailed insight?
